Tor is the son of one of Pellinore's maids; who, shortly after sleeping with Pellinore, falls in love with, and quickly marries, Aries, a shepherd. After 6 months of their marriage, Tor is born. While Aries knows Tor is Pellinore's child, he raises Tor as his own. Throughout his childhood, Tor dreamed of being a knight. Upon hearing of Arthur drawing the sword from the stone, Tor's parents brought him before Arthur, hoping he would knight their son. Arthur does indeed knight Tor, following Arthur and Guinevere's wedding.
