Isolde is the princess of Ireland and the queen of [[Cornwall]]. Iseult sent a magical love potion for her daughter and Mark to use on their wedding night, but entrusts it to Isolde's lady in waiting. Tristam finds the potion and assumes it's wine, and ends up drinking it with Isolde. They fall deeply in love with each other, and become lovers.
