Ector was a renowned knight during Uther Pendragon's reign.

Merlin gave him Arthur to raise as Ector's own son. After Ector told Arthur of his true parentage, Ector requested that Arthur would make Kay his seneschal; which Arthur happily did. When Arthur became King, Ector was named a Knight of the Round Table.
