One of the few saxons who didn't oppose Arthur, Æthelflaed instead sided with him. Æthelflaed grew up as the daughter of a saxon merchant family. After her parents were murdered by a disgruntled saxon noble, and nobody else seemed to care, Æthelflaed started to hate other saxons, and sided with Arthur, against her people.
